Hello! My name is Hildie (hill-dee, though my closest people call me "Hild"), and after over a decade of practicing my passion for creating and exploring the ever-expanding world of digital design tools, I've found myself a self-taught designer. With my experience comes the perspective of a person who's quite literally grown up alongside technology, helping me gain a keen understanding of what about it works... and doesn't, and how design plays into that. My years as a birth doula and Registered Nurse working with people from all ages, languages, and familiarity with technology have further developed my passion for making tech and its tools accessible to all.
I believe that design is not just about aesthetics—it's about effectively communicating your brand's message and values and in a user-friendly way. What I've done
From rebranding for a birth doula group to designing a team's first jersey logo, building and maintaining an independent healthcare provider's website to helping build a mobile-friendly site for a health advocacy non-profit. What started as a side project for an extracurricular club in high school has turned into a passion for graphic design, and I'm excited for the opportunity to continue building my portfolio.

Mobile-friendly website crafted from scratch using Squarespace to suit the needs of an independently owned pharmacy that is a community staple and highly active in legislative advocacy. Includes integration with Acuity Scheduling, an events page, Advocacy tab with several subpages, thorough patient education on a wide variety of health-related topics, and more.

Mobile-friendly website redesign using Wix Studio for a growing pharmacy advocacy non-profit. Project included incorporating original branding elements such as font and color, copy editing, and adding captivating animations.

Brand creation for a midwestern dad trying to change the world following the tragedy of losing his 22-year-old son to pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) abuse (an issue I'm also passionate about). Work included creating a colorway and logo designs; bio creation and implementation on social media acccount profiles; and the creation of a collection of related digital materials, including Zoom backgrounds and TikTok background templates.
